This assessment requires you to conduct a problem analysis to inform a solution

This assessment requires you to conduct a problem analysis to inform a solution to a public health issue. The purpose of this assessment is to demonstrate that you have a good understanding of the magnitude of the health issue, the factors that contribute to the development or prevention of the health issue, and the implications they have for the direction a solution might take.
For your chosen health issue:
Briefly describe the magnitude of the public health issue (10%)
Conduct a problem analysis of the health issue by critically analysing the relationship between known risk factors and/or enablers and the health issue (35%) [note: this section of the assignment requires you to conduct a systematic search and review of the literature*]
Drawing on your problem analysis, identify and discuss the most appropriate prevention level(s) [i.e. primordial, primary, secondary, and/or tertiary], and strategy type(s) [i.e. individual behavioural change, community-based, policy-based, advocacy, and/or environmental based] for addressing the health issue (25%)
Discuss how your nominated prevention level(s) and strategy type(s) can incorporate any guiding principle(s) (10%).
You will also be assessed on your ability to write using appropriate academic structure and style (10%).
* Literature search: you will need to produce a 1-page summary as an appendix (not included in the word count), documenting your literature search strategy conducted for this problem analysis (10%).
